#212: Three Ways to Turn Your Daily Content Into a Long-Form Series
June 20, 2020—Turning your daily posts into a long-form series is an easy way to publish powerful content without actually putting in more effort than normal.
After drawing daily comics for a few months, I started getting bummed out by seeing illustrators get thousands of likes on their posts.
I mean…yea, of course, their comics were just flat out better than mine because they more experience, but there was also the problem of effort. In other words, the problem with my 365 Challenge was that I only ever had one day to finish my work.
There were a few times when I tried illustrating multi-frame comics, but all that happened was the quality of my work got divided by the number of frames I drew. It wasn’t even worth the exhaustion.
The solution bonked me on the head when I started turning my comics into blog posts. If my stories were like pages in a book, then my comics could be slides in a carousel…
I didn’t have to do MORE work, I just needed to serialize the work I was already doing.
