April 18, 2022 — Drugs can generate amazing ideas, but you can’t manifest them in reality if you’re living in a fantasy.

The first time I ever got high was in kindergarten while watching another kid flip through a Where’s Waldo? book.

Years later, I learned this trance-like state was called “ASMR,” and it became a gateway for more mind-altering experiences (alcohol, weed, MDMA, LSD, shrooms, etc).

Fun aside, drugs opened up creative avenues in my life that I never would have had access to sober.

The problem was, the more I chased that feeling, the more tolerance my body built up — to the point where I’d have to drink five cups of coffee just to get a buzz.

Which is when I learned…

There are two ways to use drugs: transcendence and dependence. And only one of them leads somewhere good.

The funny thing about psychedelics is that, unlike other drugs, they’re sort of un-addictive.

Case in point, after riding out my first 16-hour trip on LSD, the LAST thing I wanted to do was take it again.
