Last summer my fingers started hurting. It wasn’t unusual because I spent a lot of time blogging and writing code, but the thing that worried me was that my fingers weren’t getting better with rest.

Even though they felt fine when I wasn’t typing, the second I returned to the keyboard, the pain would flare up again.

I tried buying fancy ergonomic keyboards and cut my workday down to two hours, but nothing made a difference.

I started to panic.

How the hell am I going to survive the next seventy years of my life with no fingers?
