When I first heard about Facebook rebranding to “Meta,” I rolled my eyes, thinking…

“Here we go with another evil corporation changing its name to try and slither out from under decades of bad press.”

But as the metaverse kept expanding, from video games to social media to streaming apps to augmented virtual reality and the internet of things…

…I realized that all these technologies are driven by one desire: to monopolize reality.

Which brings us to the nefarious truth.

Mark Zuckerberg’s biggest problem is that when you leave Facebook, he loses money. Thus…

The goal of Meta is to replace planet Earth with a digital casino in which every second of your life is controlled, manipulated, and exploited for profit.

I always knew The Matrix was a metaphor for modern life, but I never thought it would become a literal reality. Yet here we are…

For the record, I’m not against the metaverse .

I’ve had just as much fun hijacking tanks in GTA, Zooming with family, and getting sucked into van life videos as anyone…

…but we cannot eat pixels, my friends.

Humanity won’t last long in a pre-programmed prison with a sociopathic lizard man writing the rules on what we can say and do.

So I keep reminding myself…

“What you want is in there, but what you need is out here.”

Don’t let the metaverse become your only-verse.
