I don’t understand why Democrats haven’t aligned around one idea: JOBS. Jobs, jobs, jobs! That’s the whole reason Trump got elected—automation and outsourcing are killing the working class and nothing makes people turn to negativity faster than having no work.

We can’t solve climate change or racism or mental health issues until we figure out how to lift average Americans out of poverty.

If you’re in desperation mode 24/7 because there are no jobs left in your town and you don’t have enough money for rent, you’re not going to give a fuck about “choosing sustainable products.”

That said, Trump is just a shiny bandaid. He appeals to people because he’s a master at putting ideas into simple, memorable terms, but being “unified around a single goal” doesn’t mean shit if the goal is toxic.

Trump has done nothing for his base.

He’s a cartoon that America loves to watch because so many people are feeling hopeless and confused. Meanwhile, the real Trump is lining his pockets while the world burns.
