May 16, 2022 — Religious tolerance is a admirable goal, but it only works if everyone keeps their beliefs to themselves.

When I was in kindergarten, my Mom took me to visit some conservative Christian relatives in Mississippi — which was awkward, given that I’ve been an atheist since age four.

Mostly I tried to avoid the topic, but one day my cousins cornered me and flat out asked…

“Have you been saved?”

I said no, at which point they started following me around, telling me I was going to burn in hell for all eternity if I didn’t accept Jesus Christ into my heart.

I was so freaked out I literally climbed a tree to get away, and that was the moment that I realized…

…tolerance is logistical nightmare.

There are over four thousand religions in the world, and every single one of them completely contradicts the others.
